Ecommerce & retail packaging

Shelf-ready and post-ready packaging that survives the last mile.

Promotional gift boxes stacked and tied with dark green ribbon.

The problem in this trade

Retail and ecommerce pull in opposite directions. On a shelf the packaging competes for a glance; in a courier satchel it competes with being crushed. The set that has to do both jobs is the one most often designed for only one of them — usually the shelf — and then fails on the way to the customer who ordered it online.

In retail the box is the last thing a customer touches in the shop; in ecommerce it is the only thing they touch before the product arrives. In both cases the packaging is judged in a photo, so the print has to hold up on a shelf and in a phone camera at the same time.

The construction that satisfies both is usually a printed carton or a rigid box inside a printed outer. Send us what ships, how it ships, and whether the box has to sit on a shelf as well as in a satchel.

Common questions

Can one box work on a shelf and in the post?
Only with an outer carton. The presentation box is not asked to be the shipping container, so it arrives clean instead of scuffed.
Should it open without a knife?
Yes — a tuck or lift-off opening. A customer cutting into a gift box is how products get damaged.
Does the print hold up in a phone photo?
That is the constraint we design to: flat surfaces, even lighting across the front face, and no specular gloss where the label sits.
Carton or rigid box?
A carton for volume and shelf sets, a rigid box where the unboxing is the point.
What is the minimum order?
1,000 pièces, in tiers of 1,000–4,999, 5,000–9,999 and 10,000+ pièces.
