A two-piece rigid box — the lid lifts clear of the base, and a fitted insert holds the product in place.
Construction
Two pieces, both rigid greyboard wrapped in printed paper: a separate lid and a separate base. The lid lifts straight off — there is no hinge, no magnet, and nothing to line up or unthread. Inside, the product sits in a fitted tray or a die-cut board insert cut to its actual dimensions, with tissue laid over the top and a ribbon pull if you want one. Because the lid and the base are wrapped separately, the two halves can carry different artwork, a different foil or a different texture. And because there is no hinge and no magnet, the lid simply lifts free — the most direct way to present a bottle or a gift set.

Most spirit and gifting projects start here. The lid comes off in one clean movement, the product sits in a tray cut to its exact dimensions, and the first thing the customer sees is the thing they were given — not packaging they have to work through to get at it.
It also gives you two surfaces to print. The lid and the base are wrapped separately, so a gold foil monogram on the lid over a matte base is no harder to produce than a single flat print. Send us the product and the quantity and we will come back with a cutting size, a board weight and a price.

- What is the difference from a magnetic-lid box?
- The lid is completely separate and lifts off — there is no hinge and no magnet. A magnetic box opens flat on a hinge; this one comes apart into two pieces.
